About Our Teacher
Johanna is from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, located in the southern United States. She has been teaching Ballroom Dance (or “Social Dance”) since 2010, and is trained in a variety of styles including Waltz, Foxtrot, American Tango, Viennese Waltz, Rumba, Chacha, Salsa/Mambo, East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, Hustle, and more. Though she’s now working as an English teacher and entertainer here in Tokyo, Johanna hopes to create a little pocket of the dance culture she loved so much back in Baton Rouge and to foster an environment in which everyone can feel comfortable learning and sharing the fun of Ballroom and Social Dance!
